SACMA, working together with the Mechanical Department of the University of Padua, has developed the SacmaForm® forging software application, that provides project engineers with an efficient aid, in the initial stages of product development.
Using a simple, intuitive procedure, start-ing from a hypothetical forging sequence, and taking into consideration the characteristics of different materials, SacmaForm® calculates volumes and loads required for deformation, and defines the basis for the economic evaluation of the project. Using SacmaForm®, the designer also has access to an extensive data bank and useful examples of tooling design.
