In the 1950s, founder Valeriano Rampezzotti approached a world that would open up new horizons: the automotive industry. Commissioned by the Argentinian government, he created the "VETTURA" model - an economy car that was later sold to the Kaiser Group and Volkswagen.
Thanks to the enormous diversification of its production, SACMA kept up with the countless requirements of this sector: Combined headers for engine and chassis bolts, progressive headers for components destined for Tier One, semi-warm machines for deforming next generation special materials, and thread rollers for high-resistance workpieces. The first multi-station progressive header was launched in 1959.
